Pioneer DJ just released an update to its Rekordbox software. Now at version 5.0.2, it brings compatibility to Apple’s latest macOS High Sierra operating system. A raft of minor tweaks accompany it, along with bug fixes related to Interface 2, the DDJ-RZX, and the XDJ-RX.

macOS High Sierra support in Rekordbox 5.0.2 means that Mac users can update to the latest operating system and run Rekordbox as expected. However, you also have to make sure that the hardware you’re using is macOS High Sierra compatible – if it isn’t, don’t perform the update just yet. As always, check our compatibility list first, and understand that you’re updating at your own risk.

1. Rekordbox 5 with M1 chips Hi I'm about to buy a MacBook Air with the M1 chip and I'd like to know if there are any problems with compatibility with rekordbox 5? I'm no professional and only DJ as a hobby but I'm curious about it since Pioneer said they are not planning on uprgading Rekordbox 5, only the 6.
2. Rekordbox Ver.5.02 (2017.10.31) Pioneer DJ are quick off the mark once again to update Rekordbox DJ to Ver.5.02 that includes support for Mac’s High Sierra operation system. As with all updates please ensure you test extensively and back up before updating.

The problem is that I cannot get files from either iTunes or from a folder on my Mac desktop to import into Rekordbox 1.5.3 without crashing. I have tried deleting and re-installing the program several times including clearing the preference files. The music files are fine, I bought them on iTunes and burn them successfully to a cd.
